In the sea, I am alive.

In it, I drown

my aches,

their pain,

incessant brain noise.

Free of the weight,

the world’s,

my body’s,

I glide.

Here,

the salt comes

not from my eyes,

but from the water.

Hear

only breathing…

mine. I am reminded

how easy it is

to be alive.

Here,

all I must do is

breath.
